Lucas Group has partnered with a growing company seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer on a 6 month contract-to-hire basis to help build an industry changing voice activated application for manufacturing.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
  • Create, document, and perform tests to identify software problems
  • Analyze bugs and errors found during tests
  • Perform and document risk analysis
  • Perform manual and automated testing
  • Record results of tests for the software development team
  • Works together with the software developer to improve programs and user experience
  • Maintain updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements
  • Code or work with development team to code automated tests
  • Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes
  • Identify any potential problems that users might encounter
  • Research and analyze product features being tested
  • Review user interfaces for consistency and functionality
  • Suggest solutions to identified product problems
  • Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement
  • Work with JIRA, BitBucket, Bamboo (or similar technologies) developing an automated process for fixes



  • 3+ years of experience with software QA tools and processes specifically with client server applications
  • 3+ years of experience with a variety of different testing techniques such as UI Testing, Automated Testing, Test Driven Development Strategies and other
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Winium, Microfocus UFT, Winnappdriver
  • High proficiency in computer technology and programming languages such as C# or Java
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Good time-management skills
  • Prefer Japanese and English speaking
