Performs work for repair and refurbishment of analytical chemistry / hematology equipment in house and field, assists in procurement of parts with some shipping and receiving, provide tech support to customers and field. and be able to help in the field as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the Refurbishment Specialist with testing, cleaning, and repairing equipment.
Maintains shipping/handling processes for all equipment, parts, and consumables.
Assists with inventory control systems, including identifying items, database entry, providing reports and updates.
Assists to monitor, organize, and maintain inventory on parts and consumables for equipment following the company’s procedures.
Prepares and distributes items for all outgoing shipping and warehouse delivery, both internally to MLS Field Technical Operations and externally.
Assists in cost control of parts and in part, procurement.
Communicates to management customer relationship issues, and changes in customer laboratory policies or practices as well as information gained on pricing, competition, or other topics which may be helpful to the operation of the company. May help write and communicate repair, warehouse, shipping and handling, and procurement policies.
May perform onsite Preventive Maintenance, assisting with installations, and conducting troubleshooting as needed.
Provides customer service to respond to customer inquiries on equipment, consumables, and parts procurement. Helps management to develop policies for customer support and identify changes in customer needs. Provides quality customer service and seeks opportunities to explain benefits and/or additional services.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Two years or more of electronics experience preferred or related Military experience. Warehouse and inventory experience a plus. MS Office application and general computer skills required.
Attention to detail in following processes. - Good oral and written communication skills. - Proven customer service skills, including ability to maintain effective working relationships with teams.
Ability to recognize customer needs and identify solutions.
TECHNICAL/JOB SPECIFIC SKILLS :
Ability to perform repair and shipping/handling functions with little supervision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Maintain valid drivers license with ongoing, reliable transportation for work.
Shift: M-F, 8:30-5:30.
Experience Required: Electrical or Electronics
