OVERVIEW

My client is seeking a talented Senior Sales Manager who will manage sales organization. The responsibilities include maximizing sales revenue in existing markets, expanding sales into new territories, and researching trends to develop accurate sales projections. As the Senior Sales Manager, you must develop a business plan to meet the company’s sales quotas and profitability goals. You will supervise a team of professionals and work together to prepare action plans for individuals and the team to find new sales leads effectively. Other duties include setting competitive pricing while striving to maintain maximum profit margins. You also keep records of pricing, all products or services sold, and other activities for the US market. The position requires travel. The Senior Sales Manager will report to the CFO and is responsible for supporting all activities, positions and designated departments as it relates to Sales within the US region (finance, planning, operations).

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure a strong presence
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Maintain and strengthen internal systems to ensure financial risk control including management of accounts receivables, import and export control and management of inventory and expenses.

Primary Skills:

 

  • BS/MS degree in business administration or a related field
  • Previous experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise
  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment and follow office methods, rules, and policies
  • Willingness to take initiative
  • Understanding and carrying out verbal and written directions
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations
  • Good public speaking and presentation skills Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized
  • Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person
  • Commitment to internal client and customer service principles
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel

  • 7-10 years of outside sales (“hunter”)
  • Experience in a sales management and/or senior sales role – OPTICS EXPERIENCE HIGHLY PREFERRED
  • Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
