Title: Senior Manager, Talent Management

Role Overview: This is a newly created role focused on Talent Development, Leadership Development, TA, and D&I. The company has 2500+ employees and are PE-backed. Most of their growth has been through M&A activity. Corporate has about 30 employees and only 2 of them are in HR. This will be the 3rd position within the department. They have HR Directors and Managers in the Operating Companies who are responsible for the day to day HR work – TA, ER, Business Partners to the Operating Presidents, etc.
This role will need a well-rounded Talent Management SME. Someone who knows what a good TA process looks like, how to set one up and deploy it, what tools will help Managers in regards to training programs but also be able to recruit as needed on Executive level searches. This role will also help to build out their LMS and their training curriculum by function. It will also help facilitate Leadership Development and work closely with the VP, HR on the Succession Planning element of that. D&I will also be a component of this role.
The ideal candidate will have developed and deployed a TA process, be an effective influencer vs dictator, someone who understands how to build and deploy learning programs. Familiarity with a manufacturing environment is helpful but not required. This role is heavy on the strategy side but with how lean they run, you can’t be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into the work. You need to have the agility to work in an ambiguous environment.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 7-10 years of HR experience with 5+ in Talent Management
- Experience coaching employees and managers at all levels
- Ability to build trust and relationships to effectively influence
