Lucas Group has partnered with our client in their search for Senior Coverage Associate to join their Los Angeles office.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Qualifications
- JD from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the state of California
- 5+ years of experience
- Experience in areas of insurance coverage such as coverage opinions (CGL, Auto, E&O & D&O) and litigation, including the defense of extra-contractual litigation and excess claims with respect to various types of insurance policies
- Experience in both third-party and first-party claims
- Experience handling policy wordings, reinsurance contracts, program management, auditing of programs and coverage for multi-million dollar judgments
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Legal project management experience is helpful
- Independently manage a caseload of complex insurance coverage and defense matters, working cases from beginning to end
- Represent clients in a wide range of insurance coverage and defense claims
- Provide clients with insurance coverage advice on a variety of subjects, relating to a variety of different matters
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports
Educational & Work Requirements:
- Degree: JD
- Work Experience: 5+ years in insurance coverage
