Lucas Group has partnered with a private equity-owned packaging supplier, primarily focused on supplying reusable packaging solutions to the nursery industry. Based in Los Angeles but supporting customers nationally, our client has experienced tremendous growth and is looking to continue to expand their team. They are open to considering full remote candidates in the Western/Pacific, Mountain, and Central Time Zones.

Responsibilities:

• Perform journal entries, reconciliations, cash flow analysis, and audit preparation
• Financial reporting and analysis for month-end close to support the Controller
• Weekly reporting and analysis (AR Aging, Bank Recs, weekly performance KPI’s, etc.)
• Perform Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
• Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
• Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
• Implementation of new cost accounting methods
• Manage department projects around process improvement, technology deployment, and financial reporting accuracy
• Ability to work cross-functionally with the Sales and Operations Teams

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• QuickBooks experience
• Highly skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative, and social skills
• High Attention to detail and possesses excellent organization and writing skills
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) highly preferred
• Previous manufacturing and cost accounting experience preferred
