Job Description

  • Reports directly to Accounting Manager in this area
  • Assist with recording daily, weekly and monthly journal entries for several joint ventures including end of month journal entries.  Such entries include payroll, depreciation, prepaid expenses, Accounts Payable accruals, etc.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances between Joint Ventures and Parent Companies
  • Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and research outstanding items to clear
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for each Joint Venture assigned
  • Works with Manager in preparing schedules for external auditors, tax group, and industry regulators as necessary
  • Complete special projects as assigned

 

Education/Experience

  • Three plus years of accounting experience
  • CPA preferred with at least 2 years of public accounting experience
  • Exposure to financial services is a plus, but not required
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV a plus
  • Must be a demonstrated strong performer
