Lucas Group has partnered with our client s a global commodities warehousing and logistics business.They are seeking an ambitious hunter (not an account manager/farmer) that has a proven track record of success to join their commercial team. This position will report to the Commercial Director and this position will be charged with developing new business opportunities and increasing sales/clients.
Primary responsibilities will include the targeting of new business based on previous industry relationships and business dealings, cold calling and market development of new targets based on personal research and study.
Preparations of of RFQ's for new business and or changes within existing business
Communicate with customer service team regarding all information on customer changes and updates in order to strengthen the business relationship and addressing all related issues
Coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangement for potential new business.
Maintain a pulse of industry standards and trends always finding innovative ways to increase business
Update CRM with sales targets and sales planning to monitor focus areas, sales activity and an overview of projects in the pipeline.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain or related field. Client is not looking for candidates that are managing accounts that were given to them, they want a hunter that can develop new business.
