Our client, a private-equity backed manufacturing organization, has engaged Lucas Group to identify an Sales Analyst. This role will be responsible for providing analytical and strategic support to the Sales organization and leadership team. It will be focused on trend analysis, modeling, development of proposals including pricing and budget, client presentations and special projects. Qualified candidates must have a strong work ethic and initiative with a desire to innovate.

 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide strategic and analytical support to our sales organization and senior management
  • Gather, manipulate and analyze large sets of internal as well as external (market) data to evaluate past performance and identify trends that will help us forecast demand
  • Be involved in the development, implementation and tracking of business KPIs and also setting up plans and strategic actions to improve performance and ensure KPI targets are reached
  • Create top quality excel reports and PowerPoint presentations and effectively communicate results and conclusions to our executives
  • Put together and modify quotes and proposal packages to clients as needed
  • Special projects, including conducting analysis on product performance, pricing, bookings, opportunity win/loss, forecast changes, account penetration and growth, quota achievement, compensation structures and regional distribution of sales and customers
  • Continuously monitor market activity in North America and search for activity and clues to help us guide our sales strategy. This will require extensive research of industry reports, news, white papers, earnings calls, etc.
  • Build complex financial models and improve existing ones
  • Make improvements to existing systems and processes to create efficiencies 
  • Assist in the training and development of new analysts if required

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics
  • CFA or progress towards
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel including modeling and PowerPoint skills desirable
  • Salesforce experience highly desired 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-motivated, high level of initiative
