All employees of Smith System are responsible for abiding by the company’s core values of quality, customer satisfaction, results-oriented consistency, and mutual communication and respect. The Quotes Coordinator provides pricing and assists the bids and quotes manager with maintaining state contracts.

Responsibilities 

  • Provide formal pricing and freight quotes to furniture dealers.
  • Review bid packages to ensure specifications are accurate and compatible with requested application of product.
  • Proofing/verifying quotes to ensure accuracy prior to sending to clients.
  • Reviewing and maintaining state contracts and understanding the rules of each.
  • Providing excellent customer service to furniture dealers and end users by phone/email/chat.
  • Ability to multi task, meet deadlines and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Interacting with different departments to assist customers; including production, sales, accounting, and shipping. We are the corporate/customer service contact for all of Smith System’s dealers.

 

work experience / education requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some college preferred.
  • At least 2 years of pricing or quoting experience is required.
  • Experience with furniture is preferred, but not required.

 

ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure functions are completed.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to draw connection between multiple sources or “connect the dots.”
