Role Overview: Lucas Group has partnered with a leading energy company on their search for an Organizational Development & Training Manager for their corporate offices located in Bakersfield, CA. The ideal candidate will be a transformational change agent who can drive engagement, development, and high performance throughout their workforce. Responsibilities include assessing, developing, implementing, and administering a comprehension employee training and management development program.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Build content for and implement customized, innovative learning programs that drive short-term and long-term change
  • Identify key training needs and work on the development and implementation of training programs through internal and external resources to address those needs
  • Lead branding, communication, administration and facilitation for internal programs of workshops, events, digital campaigns, and other experiences
  • Partners with Senior Management to launch competency model and deliver learning and development opportunities to enhance competency of employees
  • Coordinate and schedule training courses from logistics to enrollment
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of learning and development programs
  • Assist Managers with training needs assessment and strategic direction of future training programs
  • Additional projects as necessary

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP)
  • At least 10 years in Human Resources with an emphasis in training and organization development
  • Knowledge and understanding of modern organizational theory and practices; comfortable and able to do stand-up delivery therefore excellent written verbal communications skills are critical
  • Experience managing the administrative side of training
  • A strong change agent and disruptor mentality
  • Strong experience with instructional design theories and practices
