Business Development Responsibilities:

  • We help companies find impact players! This is a phone business and the candidates are not actively searching. You will build relationships with corporate prospects (manager up to the C-Suite) and cultivate client relationships both over the phone and in-person
  • Drive new business with existing clients and prospects and develop relationships with other Lucas Group search consultants by working with them to grow business with key customer accounts
  • Consult with clients to scope search projects by obtaining information that clearly defines the specifics of the job including the responsibilities, requirements, compensation, company culture and desired outcomes
  • Serve as a consultative business partner in order to facilitate both short-term and long-term needs of your client
  • Source, qualify, present, and negotiate on your clients’ behalf
  • Generate and sustain an effective retention program to garner additional sales opportunities

Candidate Development Responsibilities:

  • Directly recruit passive candidates while building sustainable relationships. Share industry knowledge and assist candidates in making informed decisions surrounding career growth and opportunity
  • Lead and develop comprehensive targeted recruitment strategies, in tandem with other Search Consultants, for qualified candidates via heavy cold calling and direct sourcing, database mining, client referrals, and networking
  • Utilize research, phone calls, pipeline, and CRM to identify and persuasively present candidates for potential job offerings
  • Manage the candidate's life cycle through consistent communication and relationship management. You’ll follow your candidates through the entire process: interviewing, negotiation, resignation, on-boarding, and periodic follow-ups

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2-8+ years of sales, business development, or candidate recruiting experience is ideal
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly learn about different business environments and cultures by asking the right questions and actively listening
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take a project from start to finish
  • Consultative mindset and ability to anticipate client needs
  • Self-initiative along with the ability to respond quickly to client requests
  • KPI/metrics-driven and detailed oriented with an outgoing personality and drive to make a lot of phone calls to management professionals
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred
