Lucas Group has partnered with our client, a top manufacturer of commercial trailers, dry vans and refrigerated and platform trailers, in Statesboro GA on their search for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

For over 100 years, their extensive network of company-owned branches and independent dealers offer distribution points for trailers and aftermarket parts across North and South America. What You Will Do:

• Direct all plant manufacturing engineering and maintenance activities.
• Responsible for return on investment relating to facilities and equipment and overall responsibility for plant environmental compliance.
• Manages plant capital budget
• Will solicit and negotiate bids from outside contractors
• Will ensure that plant employees are trained/attuned to GDT objectives and compliance with all mandated GDT rules and regulations

Skills Needed:

• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electro-mechanical systems
• Industrial engineering skills (work measurement, labor reporting, plant layout)
• Building and maintenance contracts including liability issues
• Computer skills including MS Office and AutoCAD
• Analytical analysis and problem-solving skills

Educational & Work Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Industrial or Mechanical engineering w/5-10 years of experience <or> the equivalent combination of experience and/or education
