Our client provides custom engineered solutions for a variety of industries and we have partnered with them on a Manufacturing Engineering Manager opening to work out of their southeastern Wisconsin location. This role will have quick upward movement and high visibility within the organization. This position leads a team to achieve plant manufacturing strategies such as reducing lead-times, reducing scrap, improving efficiencies, etc. The Manufacturing Engineering Manager’s role is to provide leadership to Manufacturing Engineers and cross functional teams to improve production methods, increase efficiencies, lead plant transformation projects, and plan and execute CapEx projects.This individual must have experience with CapEx budgets, worked in machining (high mix low volume), and must have successful background in lean and implementing KPIs. This person would report into the Director of Manufacturing Engineering and will have 5 direct reports.
Education and Experience:
- BSME, BSMET, BSIE or BSIET degree preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years in metals and/or gear manufacturing, preferably in a supervisory role, including experience with low volume, high tolerance products.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in training and leading employee teams.
- Demonstrated experience executing lean manufacturing concepts, such as Manufacturing Cell creation, SMED, PQPR, and Standard Work.
