Lucas Group has been engaged in the search for a long term Lease Accounting Manager to join an oil and gas client on an interim basis. This project is expected to last at lease a year, and could extend as needed.
Scope of Responsibilities:
- Review new and modified contracts
- Enter all terms and conditions into the lase accounting system
- Manage the month-end close process for lease accounting
- Review and approve journal entries and consolidations
- Support with M&A activities and evaluate leases pertaining to those transactions
- Assist with testing design and execution of lease accounting system upgrades and enhancements
- Assist with tax and financial audit, as well as financial reporting requests
Skills Needed:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with lease review and application to the new ASC 842 standards
- SAP, Oracle or similar ERP experience
- CPA highly preferred
- Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
Educational & Work Requirements:
- Degree: Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- Work Experience: 5+ years of experience in lease accounting or technical accounting research
