The Leadership Development Program is designed to prepare leaders for the role of General Manager. The outcome of the program will result in a LDP participant being promoted to General Manager, relocating to a new market, and assuming full P&L responsibility for a care center.
The LDP is a rotational program designed to teach participants care center operations, Corporate Staff Functions, Regional Operations, Sales and Marketing. The participant will be assigned as an Assistant General Manager while in the program. The General Manager of the assigned Care Center will be responsible for supervising and leading all daily activities, mentoring the LDP participant, and preparing him/her for their assignment as a General Manager upon graduation from the program. The Regional Vice President of Operations or Regional Director of Operations in the region the LDP participant is assigned will maintain overall responsibility for the effective training and development of the new leader. The Vice President of Human Resources will maintain oversight and mentoring of all LDP participants as the Company grows, selects & trains the program participants, and deploys new General Managers.
Graduation, Permanent Assignment, Relocation
The formal timeline for graduation is 12 months from the start of the program. However, any participant’s graduation may be accelerated at any point during the program based on performance and readiness, as well as the opportunity for new General Manager roles based on growth and business needs. In order to accelerate graduation from the program and formal promotion to General Manager, a corporate panel will convene to determine preparedness and approval. The panel will include the General Manager responsible for the LDP participant, the Regional Operator (VP or Director), and the Vice President of Human Resources. Upon graduation (standard or accelerated), the LDP participant will be presented with a formal offer and promotion to General Manager for the new Care Center assigned. The new General Manager will be provided with a relocation package, as outlined in the LDP offer letter, and a new official start date will be assigned.
The objective of the Leadership Development Program is to prepare leaders to immediately assume the role of General Manager at a Care Center as business needs demand. Additionally, it is the company's intent that the program will identify and select high-potential leaders for future leadership bench strength at the regional operations level, within the sales and marketing team, or other key staff positions as appropriate for progression following successful General Manager assignments.
