Lucas Group has partnered with one of our clients to assist in finding a qualified and detail oriented Interim Controller to join their firm on a temporary basis!

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, reconcile accounts, and handle G/L analysis
  • Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
  • Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts
  • Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month
  • Assure client expectations are met by reviewing deliverables of self and team
  • Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed
  • Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible
  • Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
  • Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
  • Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll


  • CPA or ACA preferred.
  • Minimum 10+ years related experience (with at least 3 years public accounting experience).
  • Experience in or managing a global finance function is preferred.
  • 4-6 years in a managerial capacity at a professional services firm
  • Understanding, and delivery, of an effective control environment across multiple locations.
  • Ability to adjust to new, different, or changing requirements while conveying a sense of urgency and drive issues to closure and a relentless commitment to win.
  • Must be a working manager, capable of operating in a fast-paced environment, able to handle pressure well, be self-motivated and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute strategically by identifying and implementing business process improvements.
  • Strong planning, project management and organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Leadership experience, with strong inter-personal skills and collaboration abilities. Must be able to partner with functional counterparts.
