Lucas Group has partnered with a growing global, high-volume manufacturer on their search for a Global Vice President of Manufacturing to join their leadership team and oversee their Manufacturing plants in North America and Asia.
The Global Vice President of Manufacturing will report to the CEO and be responsible for the performance of 4 high volume sites in North America and Asia.
Ensure safety of employees is a priority by creating a n environment where safety and risk prevention are embraced at all levels within the plants with a goal of world class safety.
Develop transparent performance, quality and financial KPI’s for plant-wide efficiency and align metrics and processes between each of the plants.
Build LEAN capabilities for continuous improvement in plant productivity
Measure and improve MOEE (Measure of Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
Develop and manage process for identifying problems, preparing action plans, executing for each plant.
Prioritize capital spend – safety, productivity, maintenance, new product development.
As part of the leadership team of the company, help develop the 3 and 5 year strategic Plans
Maintain market leading lead times and on-time in-full (OTIF) performance levels while minimizing working capital.
Leverage the capabilities and increase utilization of the ERP system to maximize performance and consistency of information.
Support the engineering efforts associated with both process improvement and new product development.
Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards – ISO 9001, C-TPAT, HAS and OSHA
Develop an effective working relationship with the employees at each plant, providing direction for personal and professional development, regular feedback, performance evaluations and opportunities for improvement and working with HR to minimize turn-over and maximize retention.

15+ years of multi-shift, high volume manufacturing/assembly (good industry backgrounds are automotive, consumer electronics, injection molded plastics)
10 years of manufacturing leadership experience
Experience managing multiple plants
Experience managing plants or personnel internationally
Strong LEAN manufacturing experience
Must have at least Permanent US Residency status (Green card)
Technical degree such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering
Experience managing sites or personnel in China
