We are seeking a General Counsel for a healthcare provider based in the Philadelphia area. There is the possibility that this position could be remote for the right candidate. A key component of the role will be building and implementing a compliance program to service the networks over 300 providers. As such, we are looking for candidates with strong healthcare regulatory/compliance experience – including HIPAA, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement requirements, federal and state fraud and abuse laws, Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, sunshine laws, etc. That said, the company is growing rapidly through acquisitions so there will be transactional and deal work as well. Some exposure to private equity would be ideal, but not required.
In addition to legal acumen, the CEO values candidates who are business-minded, have strong management skills, are keen to process orientation, and will be a peer to the C-Suite. The GC will be a key part of the senior leadership team, and the ideal candidate will be able and willing to drive business strategy in conjunction with the legal and compliance functions.
