Our client, a top Am Law 100 national law firm, has an immediate need for a highly qualified and motivated Employee Benefits Associate to join its Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group in its Chicago office.
- Assisting clients design, implement and ensure the compliance of employee benefit plans and executive compensation arrangements with the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, the Affordable Care Act and other federal statutes affecting such arrangements.
- Drafting welfare plans including group health plans, cafeteria plans and wellness plans as well as qualified pension, profit-sharing and non-qualified retirement plans, along with support in mergers and acquisitions.
- Minimum 3 years’ Employee Benefits experience
- Expertise in equity issues relating to publicly traded entities and ERISA “plan asset” advice related to the issuance of securities or debt in the context private equity or hedge funds would be a plus
