What You Will Do:
Serves as the onsite safety expert and as employee resource for HSE compliance inquiries & requirements.
Develop, implement, and manage company safety programs; ensure programs are up to date with standards.
Direct safety program including but not limited to monthly safety meetings, Flash Audits, Near Misses, accident investigations, weekly toolbox meetings and monthly safety inspections.
Actively audit/monitor safety programs to ensure they are functioning properly. Give guidance and support when issues arise. Support the organization to ensure successful implementation.
Develop, implement and plan for effective annual safety training for the site (existing and new employee). Proactively maintain detailed records to ensure employee training is up to date and compliant with OSHA standards. Actively check for proficiency.
Establish and lead company safety culture and awareness. Promote participation, leading by example, and engagement of employees at all levels.
Compile monthly data as required for ABFI HSE reporting, ABFI safety report, and track/log monthly KPI data.
Provide support to the Quality Department for audits, compliance, and crisis management (product recalls/pathogenic contamination).
Support safety aspects within SQF in close coordination with the Quality Department.
Education and Work Requirements:
Regulatory compliance knowledge in OSHA, ANSI, & NFPA.
Experience in production/manufacturing environment preferred.
