Lucas Group has partnered with our client Holland America in on their search for a People Partner Director in their Seattle, WA office. Here’s a summary of what Holland America Group is looking for in its Senior People Partner. Is this you?

 

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Participate in strategic planning of departments under oversight – partner with business leaders and implement talent strategies
  • Act as advisor and point of contact for business leaders – provide unparalleled counsel on employee relations matters and strategic people engagement
  • Drive process improvement initiatives/large-scale changes – develop change management strategies to support evolution of business and industry including driving DEI initiatives to align with culture essentials for change-modeling the behaviors expected of others
  • Support culture transformation and employee engagement – serve as a role model for company core values
  • Connect business needs to People team functional areas, applying systems thinking and pragmatic results
  • Be a true team player – committed to the success of others and developing competency of teams
  • Demonstrating an openness to be agile and flexible as needs arise to serve immediate People Team and greater organizational needs

 

Skills Needed:

  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, performance management, and federal and state employment laws
  • Well-developed strategic short/long-term-thinking capabilities with focus on providing excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated management and leadership success
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and removal of barriers to full participation
  • Strong analytical and consulting skills
  • Ability to develop strong and trusting relationships to gain support
  • Experience working across cultures and geographies with a commitment to recognizing inclusive viewpoints
  • Experience working in large, global employee populations with highly complex business layers/roles
  • Proven track record of attention to results

 

Educational & Work Requirements:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree
  • Work Experience: 10+ years in a People leader role, working with large employee populations and senior leadership teams
  • Global: Experience working with disperse global employee populations
  • Team: Experience leading integrated multifunctional teams
