Role Overview: Lucas Group Human Resources Los Angeles is retained with a well-known and beloved retail chain that is looking for Director of Diversity and Inclusion. This brand-new role is fully supported by senior management and will be viewed as an integral move toward providing a well-balanced, diverse hiring, retention, and overall inclusive culture in their workspace. This retailer has stores across the United States and this Director will work with senior leadership and store managers/members to improve their hiring strategies, training programs, and cultural views.
Candidates with at least 5 years of true, focused Diversity and Inclusion experience within a corporate setting are desired. Must be able to influence and provide subject matter expertise to both senior management and at the store level. Creative and innovative strategies for diversity and inclusion are sought for this progressive retailer. Must be able to implement programs and work with internal leaders to develop measurable and sustainable diversity programs. Hiring, talent acquisition, and retention of diverse candidates will be the focus, as well as the metrics-based measurement of deliverables. Candidates should have demonstrated successes in the implementation, promotion, and delivery of diversity programs. This role will travel as needed to stores to work with store leaders in training and awareness.
