* This company is specifically seeking candidates with military experience. * The Custom Solutions Technician builds assemblies of basic to moderate complexity. The position requires the ability to acquire certifications such as fitting assembly, tube bending, leak testing, hose assembly and others. The ability to troubleshoot and make appropriate judgment calls based on experience is required. The technician must demonstrate a high attention to detail, balanced by the ability to meet project deliverables and timeline demands. In addition, the technician needs to be comfortable building and fabricating with limited standard work, without sacrificing the high company quality standards. Most projects require working with engineers and others to define the assembly requirements.

  • Build assemblies that may consist of both company and third-party products using certified processes.
  • Has the ability to make improvements to processes whether normal or abnormal conditions occur
  • Is efficient at troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Can assist engineering and procurement on assembly requirements
  • Ability to plan and layout work
  • Perform simple / complex changes, adjustments, and set-up to equipment
  • Ability to learn new equipment and processes
  • Read manufacturing prints
  • Meet production and quality objectives of the department
  • Use gages and test equipment
  • Perform periodic maintenance of equipment and documentation

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of manufacturing prints and products
  • Basic shop math – ability to do simple calculations such as stack-ups
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Understanding of gages including calipers, go/ no-go, and comparator
  • Must have personal initiative and drive to seek out what needs to be done, or ask others what they need assistance with
  • Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and ability to learn company inventory software
