Lucas Group has partnered with our Financial Services client in Houston on their search for a Corporate Controller.  This position reports to the CFO and is responsible for the financial statements of the company and all of the SEC filings.  Will supervise a staff of six.  Duties:

  • Responsible for consolidated financial statements to include all of the SEC filings
  • Reports to the CFO
  • Supervises a staff of six plus coordinates with operational controllers
  • Responsible for technical research and controls related to the financial statements and the SEC reporting process.
  • Coordinates with other departments (Tax, Legal, etc) to gather all of the necessary information to compile the financial statements, annual report, and SEC filings.
  • Responsible for the month end close completion
  • Prepare and present information to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors
  • Coordinating internal and external auditors' activities
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Background:

  • Accounting degree, Masters in Accounting and/or MBA preferred
  • CPA
  • 10+ years of related experience to include international, oilfield services, SEC reporting, consolidations, etc
  • Supervisory experience
  • SAP and Big 4 experience are pluses.
