Lucas Group has partnered with a top restaurant, who are looking for an Accountant.  This is a temp-to-perm position and will work sit in Scottsdale.

Responsibilities:

• Accounting for all payroll-related expenses, including review of payroll journals and preparation of month-end wage and benefit accruals.
• Accrual accounts such as utilities, restaurant operating expenses, property taxes, etc.
• Analyze income statement accounts for necessary accruals and prepare associated journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Execute usual accounting functions, which include operating the general ledger system and month-end close work.
• Execute work in accordance with standard operating procedures and adherence to internal controls.
• Analyze income statement accounts for necessary accruals and prepare associated journal entries.
• Perform account reconciliations for assigned balance sheet accounts.
• Execute work in accordance with standard operating procedures and adherence to internal controls.
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue and expense entries.
• Perform accounting for fixed assets, including compiling capital expenditure forms, set up of new assets and review of R&M expenditures to determine if any expenditures meet capitalization criteria.
• Lead accounting for all travel-related expenses, including company credit cards and Concur expense reports.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Adaptable self-starter
• Bachelor’s degree
